Job Description

The Research Administration Training Manager will lead the design and implementation of training programs for university faculty and staff involved in sponsored research. The role involves managing workshops, instructional materials, compliance tools, and onboarding for research administrators. This individual will be a key contributor to ensuring policy understanding, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in research administration processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Research Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in research administration or grant management

  • Experience with federal research regulations (e.g., NIH, NSF, DoD)

  • Strong background in adult learning, instructional design, or training facilitation

  • Familiarity with electronic research administration systems (e.g., Cayuse, InfoEd)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and lead educational initiatives

  • Project management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and manage research administration training programs for faculty and staff

  • Create digital and in-person learning content, including manuals, guides, and video tutorials

  • Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate learning outcomes
