Job Description
As the People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of human resources operations during a defined project period. You’ll play a vital role in talent development, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and culture-building initiatives. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and compassionate leader who can build strong internal relationships and support a thriving team.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations

Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (particularly in NY)

Demonstrated experience managing sensitive employee relations cases

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and performance tools

Experience in fast-paced, creative or media organizations preferred

SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day HR operations including payroll coordination, benefits support, and onboarding

Act as a resource for employee relations, workplace policies, and internal conflict resolution

Support DEI initiatives and employee engagement strategies

Partner with leadership on workforce planning and temporary staffing needs

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Maintain accurate personnel records and documentation

Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for improvements
